dislike 意思是厌恶、讨厌、厌憎，主要有5种用法：
用作名词的 dislike 通常不接不定式，而接 to doing sth。如：我非常讨厌打牌赌钱。应该是：I have a strong dislike to playing cards for money.而不能表达为：I have a strong dislike to play cards for money.
用作名词，表示“不喜欢”、“讨厌”，注意区别两个短语的搭配：一是have [show] a dislike for [of] 不喜欢、讨厌，如：I have a dislike for [of] dogs. 我讨厌狗。另外一个是 take a dislike to 不喜欢，讨厌。如：He takes a dislike to her. 他不喜欢她。
用作动词，其后通常接名词或动名词作宾语，现代英语中通常不接不定式(这与其反义词 like 不同)。如：She dislikes being spoken like that. 她讨厌那样跟他讲话。通常不说：She dislikes to be spoken like that.
动词 dislike 在现代英语中不仅不接不定式作宾语，而且通常也不接不定式的复合结构。如：我讨厌他用我的书。正确表达是：I dislike him [his] use my book. 错误表达为：I dislike him to use my book.
dislike 通常只用作及物动词，所以下面一句中其后的 it 不能省略（其后的 when 从句为状语从句而非宾语从句），如：I dislike it when you whistle. 我讨厌你吹口哨。

非特指的一个：用在名词或名词短语前，表示单数及不 确定的人或物：a region; a person.一个地区，一个人。
用在如few 或 many 之前，表示总和、总数、数量或程度：
only a few of the voters；a bit more rest；a little excited.只有少许投票者；稍微多休息会儿；有些激动。
用在一专有名称前来表示一类中的一种或一员：
the wisdom of a Socrates.苏格拉底式的智慧。
用于物质名词前表示单一种类或事例：a dry wine.无甜味葡萄酒。
The same:同样，同类：birds of a feather.同一种类的鸟。
Any:任何一个：not a drop to drink.滴水未沾。
not a one没有一个。
（用在以元音开始的词前为 an ）：一个。a pen.一枝笔。a car.一辆汽车。a dollar.一美元。
任何：A square has four sides.正方形有四条边。A dog is an animal.狗是动物。
